Golf

The Hartford Golf Club has 27 holes of superbly-conditioned parkland golf. It was created with the golfer who plays the game for enjoyment and adventure in mind. Founded in 1896, the course is a combination of Donald Ross and Devereaux Emmet design.

An extensive golf course renovation began on August 22, 2017. The scope of the project was the complete renovation of 132 sand bunkers and the short game practice facility.  The renovation also included the construction of 16 new tees and the rebuilding of 29 tees. Expansion of greens collars and fairways were completed in the project. Golf Course Architect Bruce Hepner was responsible for the shaping of the bunkers and location of the new teeing ground.

It's difficult to find another 27-hole golf course in the New England area that offers so many distinct layouts within a single course.
