Scorecard
Description:
Donald Ross - 1955 from a 1946 plan. A strong finishing hole with a crowned fairway splitting two sets of fairway bunkers. Two beautiful oaks guard the entrance to this very interesting green. A deep swale cuts one-third into the center of the green and makes for some very interesting putts.
How to Play It:
Drive straight down the spine for a mid to short iron into the green. Drives to the left center often trickle into the rough making for a tougher second. Drives down the right bounce straighter but can leave the long hitter blocked by the giant oak 60 yards from the green. Go for the pin only if it is on the back half of the green. Pins tucked on either side of the swale are tough to get close to, so don’t worry if you end up putting from the swale. This is a very had green to pitch to because of the swale.
