Scorecard
Description:
Donald Ross - 1946 plan. Built 1960-1962. This par four plays extremely long from the blue tees because of the need to carry the tee shot to the top of the driving zone. From the white tees many players can reach the top of the hill or even drive it over the top. There is a natural saddle at the top of a hill and reaching this area gives the player a good look at a large two-tier green across a small creek. Short hitters will have to calculate whether they can carry the brook on their second without being able to see the hazard. A back right cup location is one of the most challenging shots on the course. This is a par 5 for women.
How to Play It:
Carry your tee shot as far as you can and split the fairway bunkers. If you are short off the tee and need to lay up, remember that the creek is approximately 40 yards short of the green. Your shot from the top of the saddle will play a little shorter because it is slightly downhill. The green has lots of different rolls and is fun to putt from nearly anywhere.
