Scorecard
Description:
Donald Ross - 1946 plan. Built 1960-1962. This dogleg left comes out of a chute to a broad landing area that looks down on the green. Two bunkers guard the corner at 225 yards and the fairway slopes down to a wide, well-bunkered green that is narrow from front to back. This hole has giant oaks including a huge white oak in the right rough, spreading its limbs 100 feet or more.
How to Play It:
Tee your ball on the proper side of the teeing ground to help avoid the large oak hanging over the right side of the fairway just 100 yards out. Long hitters should play just off the right corner of the left fairway bunkers, leaving a short iron from a downhill lie to this shallow green. Average players should drive straight away for a nice level lie and a great view of the green. Most putts on this green break less than they appear.
