Scorecard
Description:
Devereaux Emmett - 1921. Green moved in 1965. This par five is wide and inviting on the drive and narrow and challenging on the second. The elevated green is one of the largest on the course and presents some interesting hole locations. The boundary on the right is in play the entire length of the hole. The very large green slopes gently from left to right.
How to Play It:
Except for the longest players, most will lay up their second to the flat valley 100 yards short of the green. This can be any fairway wood, hybrid or iron that you can hit straight. While this leaves a semi-blind pitch, this is a better strategy than a ball in the pines left or facing the steep hillside, rough and bunkers that a long second shot can bring. Take plenty of club on your third shot. It is uphill and this large green is easily 2-2 ½ clubs from front to back.
