Description:
Designed as par 4 by Ross. Built as par 3 by Devereaux Emmett. A very picturesque slight downhill par three that is often considered our prettiest hole. The large green runs diagonally from right to left with bunkers protecting the right side and framing the diagonal left side. Prevailing winds from the right are tricky to judge. The green does not break as much as it looks.
How to Play It:
Club selection is critical here as it can sometimes be two clubs difference from a front pin to a back left pin. As often is the case, a little long is the safe shot. Shots to a back pin must carry the diagonal bunkering so don’t deduct much yardage for the downhill and wind factors or you may find yourself in a deep bunker. Shots to a front pin are very tight and you must carry the creek short of the green.
